Somewhere, you clicked on a link to get here and are probably wondering who I am.
My name is Beth Wojiski, and I'm an intuitive and creative doing what I can to support what's good in the world. How?
I'm an editor. I'm always ready to help authors put their best word forward. If you dream of publishing your book, I can help! See my offerings under editorial services and beta reading.
I'm a writer. I'm writing my first book now about how I survived a major trauma and changed my life for the better afterward. I also started a blog for this site in late 2022.
I'm a threshold singer. With a small group, I sing softly at bedside in hospice, bringing comfort to the dying, their families, and caregivers.
I'm an artistic soul. Whether I'm singing Mozart's Requiem with a concert chorale or designing prayer shawls or inspirational jewelry, I like to use my talents to help people find beauty, peace, and inspiration in their lives.
Background
During college, I interned at Rodale Press. Later in my career, I worked as a development associate, legal assistant, and data analyst with a major tech firm. (See my full experience on LinkedIn.)
A common theme with every job has been perfecting written communication and analyzing language for its best use. I've always been the writer, editor, or proofreader on the team, no matter what role I was fulfilling.
When I decided to start my own business, I took training in proofreading, copy editing, and line editing and continue to keep my skills fresh with courses and webinars offered by experts in my field.
I am more than a list of qualifications, though.
In 2006, I almost died, which caused me to reevaluate my life and my goals. I worked hard to turn my mindset around, and at a retreat in early 2018 a mentor asked the room, "If today were your last day alive, what would you regret?" My answer was that I was still living for other people's goals, not my own—and so my editing and creative business was born.
I approach everything I do with integrity, compassion, and understanding, and I want to make a difference in the world. I believe that supporting creativity and the arts is a great way to do that. If you are a writer, I can help your vision become a reality with top-notch editing support. If you are a publisher, I'd be a worthy addition to your freelance pool!
So pull up a chair, have a good visit, and let me know if you want to chat about how I can help you with any of your projects.
All the best!
